Many organisations find themselves in a position in which their workforce operates in a more distributed way, due to hybrid working practices in response to Covid, or by choice, as technology and people's preferences allow for much more fluid working arrangements to emerge. Or through the believe that empowering their workforce will lead to better outcomes and more fulfilling working environments. Either way, the impact on management has been significant, as the traditional practices of command and control no longer fit in this new environment. Instead, managers face demands to support and coach their workforce in order to help them thrive. Our From Manager to Coach programme is aimed at helping managers make that shift.
In this programme, managers are introduced to the coaching behaviours, skills and attitudes that are required when leading and supporting teams that are making the shift towards new working practices. In a safe environment, participants will reflect on their preferred personal styles and will practise new ways of supporting their teams, by shifting from 'telling' to 'asking' and from 'problem-solving' to 'supporting'.
Four 4-hour sessions in a small group. Sessions can be provided on-line or in person.
Managers who want to encourage autonomy amongst their workforce or find themselves having to make the shift towards a coaching management style as their organisation moves towards empowered and autonomous teams.
This programme is provided by Tania Eber and Paul Jansen, qualified Systemic Team Coaches (AoEC) and OD specialists in concepts of self-management and autonomous working.
